Plympton u3a offers a range of interest groups. See below for a list of our existing groups.

You may attend any group once as a taster without joining Plympton u3a but after that you will be expected to become a member.

Meetings are held in a variety of locations, from members’ houses to local community pubs and halls for which a fee is payable.

We try to keep the cost of running groups to a minimum but where the group meets in a pub or cafe you are encouraged to buy a drink.

Interest groups meet on a regular basis during the day and generally on the same day and at the same time. The exceptions to this are Garden Visits, which depend on Garden opening times.  Groups which go out, such as Stroll with a Camera, Short Walks and Garden Visits etc usually meet at a set place and are encouraged to share lifts.  A contribution towards travel costs for the driver is based on the journey out alone and is £1 per 10 miles.  

We are always keen to start new groups and, if any member has an interest in a specific topic and would like to lead a group, they should speak to a member of the Committee.
