We meet monthly at a member's home which provides the right ambience for listening to the music CDs that our group members have brought along. Each month we have a different (usually very wide topic) and the variety of music is quite uplifting. Last month we had opera as a topic with the Pearl Fishers, a piece from La Boheme, and a utube video of Pavarotti amongst the offerings. We had some discussion about whether Freddie Mercury singing Barcelona with Montserrat Caballe counted as opera.

(Apparently not as it is not part of a whole ensemble).

Next month we will be inviting our members to bring along their favourite choral works.
